There are at least 15 piers without breakwaters. The structure is elevated by hollow chambers arranged obliquely to its longitudinal axis.Material and TechniqueFacing of the lower parts composed of small ashlars bonded with mortar. Upper parts are mortared rubble with facing of fieldstone and ashlars of varying sizes. The stone courses are separated by brick courses; many instances of inserted vertical bricks form irregular cloisonné.
