Abutments, Piers, Arches
A single twocentered arch with a span of 14.5 m and a raise of 9.5 m. The vertical cliffs of the south bank serve as abutment; the rocks on the other side were used as a solid support for walling up the northern abutment.
Material and Technique
Large, well-hewn voussoirs dry-joined in a single rib that appear in elongated shape on the facings. The latter are formed of large, well-dressed ashlars in horizontal courses of differing heights, bonded without mortar.
Decoration
Relief cross on the keystone, as well as before and after inscription.
Inscription
Monumental inscription of Psalm 120, verse 8 along the entire length of the eastern, downstream side.
Current Condition
1975 submerged after the construction of Keban Dam.
